Description

Every family has a story to tell, but how do you turn those stories into personal essays that will catch the eye of an editor? IFW judge and instructor Susan Ludwig will reveal how to take that funny story to the next level by critiquing the winners of our Funny Family Personal Essay Contest*. She’ll cover:

  • The difference between an anecdote and a personal essay
  • Picking your cast of real-life characters
  • Know your audience: when to use (and not use) bathroom humor
  • Proofreading and punctuation
  • How to wrap it up

Plus, you’ll get to ask questions during our live Q&A. Can’t make it live? We’ve got you covered. A limited-time replay will be available within a few days of the live event.

Join us September 7th at 8pm ET/5pm PT!
